About Aura
Aura was established out of a deep passion for combining therapeutic techniques with educational support to foster children's development. At Aura, we specialize in a unique approach called academic occupational therapy. This innovative service integrates traditional therapy methods with academic support to address both the underlying skills and academic challenges that children face. Our goal is to enhance a child's ability to function and succeed in the school environment.
In addition to our academic focus, we remain committed to traditional occupational therapy practices. We provide comprehensive services to improve fine motor skills, support daily living activities, and assist with sensory processing. Our dedication to combining both traditional and specialized approaches ensures that every aspect of your child's development is supported, helping them thrive both in and out of the classroom.
Meet our Academic OT
While studying to become an occupational therapist I began tutoring children in subjects like Hebrew and English. As I delved into both fields, I noticed that the skills we worked on in therapy—such as concentration, visual processing, and organization—were significantly impacting my students' performance in academic subjects like math, reading, and science.
After becoming a licensed occupational therapist, I began to integrate my therapeutic expertise with my educational background. This fusion of therapy and academic support led me to the realization that combining these approaches could create something truly transformative. By aligning therapeutic methods with academic needs, I was able to address both the foundational skills and academic challenges that children faced. This approach not only enhanced my ability to support students but also inspired the establishment of Aura OT, where I hope to continue to empowering children to reach their full potential in all areas of their lives.
